Spain
Spain has been a contracting government of the IWC since 1979. Over 30 species of whales and dolphins have been spotted in Spain's waters in recent years. This high diversity is due to Spain's varied coastlines, which border the Mediterranean's Balearic and Andorra Seas, the Bay of Biscay, and the Atlantic Ocean.
